Radon Gas in North County wexford
Have you tested your home for radon and found that the levels are higher than they should be? Maybe you are not sure what you should do next to reduce your family’s exposure to this carcinogen? During science week we invite you to join Stephanie Long from the EPA, Office of Radiation Protection and Environmental Monitoring who will talk about radon in the north Wexford area. She will explain how you can check whether the levels in your home are still high by borrowing a digital monitor from Bunclody library and what you should do next.
Following this, you will be able to take part in a pilot citizen science project and borrow a digital radon monitor, in the same way as you borrow a book, keep it for 3 weeks and then return it to the library for the next person.
