An online talk with Prof. Conor Murphy, from the Irish Climate Analysis and Research UnitS (ICARUS), Department of Geography, Maynooth University. Human activities are driving climate change. The world has already warmed by one degree and is on course for much more warming and associated impacts if these activities are not curtailed. In this talk Prof. Conor Murphy will provide an overview of our understanding of climate change, showcasing the evidence for change and projections for the future. Attention will be given to asking what climate change means for Ireland and for Wexford in particular. The talk will then ask what we can do to turn the tide, looking at actions needed to both reduce the amount of warming and to adapt to the inevitable impacts of climate change.
