For science week the Wexford Science Café will host a discussion on the current pandemic. Covid-19, the most significant pandemic in our lifetime, has impacted every aspect of society this year. We will take a look back at what we’ve learnt about this virus, what the future holds, and how scientists should be communicating this information.

Contributors on the night will include:

Dr Megan Hanlon is an immunology researcher in Trinity College Dublin and science communicator. She is the host of ‘Unravelling Science’ a top weekly science communication podcast and Co-Director of the Pint of Science Ireland Festival.’

Dr Cliona O’Farrelly, Professor of Comparative Immunology, TCD has a life-time’s experience considering the response of the immune system to viruses and bacteria.

Wexford Science Café has been meeting in the evening once a month since 2015, so that local scientists can chat about science. This year we are meeting ( in The Cloud rather than The Sky & The Ground) at 8 pm on Tuesday 10th November. All welcome. Please book your place below to join this live discussion. This event will take place via Zoom. All ticket holders will be contacted with details of how to access the zoom link prior to the event.
